Simala Scandal
Dodong, a novice monk, said that he spent his time counting loose change that was donated by the devotees. He added that he himself was not spared from homosexual deeds. He alleged that one of the senior monks had him sit on the other’s lap.
Cabillon denied that he was expelled from the congregation but he formally resigned with the permission of Fr. Fray Martin and Archbishop. Ricardo Cardinal Vidal. He pointed that the report that was published in “Ang Bag-ong Lungsoranon,” an Archdiocese’s publication was a lie.
Cardinal Vidal said that he does not allow any pageant inside any holy place. He laughed when he heard that Frater Martin supposedly asked for his permission to hold the pageant.
“That’s the problem; they say something without asking me. I hope that he was just name-dropping, because they have not come to me (for permission),” said Cardinal Vidal.
“Who in his right sense would do that? It’s not proper,” said the archbishop.
This issue is not new to us. It happened years ago already, as you can remember Jose Rizal wrote about this already in his novels. It’s just simply a repeat of history. It’s up to the people which side they should believe in. Let us not make this issue over rated. There are a lot of issues that are more important to deal with. For Cabillon, for more than 17 years of being a monk, why did he reveal it now? Is it really because he was humiliated? Or there’s another reason for this. If he had experienced the deviant deeds before, why didn’t he come out in the open right away? He waited for 17 years to reveal it, what’s his purpose? As what I observed both camps are trying to outdo each other in an attempt to squeal. Like other issues, this will just die to its natural death.

Supersonic Jets
The breaking of the sound barrier is not just an audible phenomenon. As a new picture from the U.S. military shows, Mach 1 can be quite visual.
This widely circulated new photo shows a Air Force F-22 Raptoraircraft participating in an exercise in the Gulf of Alaska June 22, 2009 as it executes a supersonic flyby over the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis.
The visual phenomenon, which sometimes but not always accompanies the breaking of the sound barrier, has also been seen with nuclear blasts and just after space shuttles launches, too. A vapor cone was photographed as the Apollo 11 moon-landing missionrocketed skyward in 1969.
The phenomenon is not well studied. Scientists refer to it as a vapor cone, shock collar, or shock egg, and it's thought to be created by what's called a Prandtl-Glauert singularity.
Here's what scientists think happens:
A layer of water droplets gets trapped between two high-pressure surfaces of air. In humid conditions, condensation can gather in the trough between two crests of the sound waves produced by the jet. This effect does not necessarily coincide with the breaking of the sound barrier, although it can. To learn more, click here.
The aircraft carrier was participating in Northern Edge 2009, an exercise focused on detecting and tracking things at sea, in the air and on land.
In The Water Cooler, Imaginova's Editorial Director Robert Roy Britt looks at what people are talking about in the world of science and beyond. Find more in the archives and on Twitter.

Self Inflection
“Tell me how you could not think of something that changed every bit of you?”
This was once said by my friend when I told him to stop thinking of the person who hurt him. Sounds dramatic but for me its funny. Can a man really change another man? Or it is just a self inflection? Do we an option?
These questions run into my head after he said that. Personally, I don’t believe that as a human being you can changed another human being. For example in a boy girl relation or what so ever, they always say that, that guy or gal changed me. Did the persion really change you? Or you’ve change because you wanted to? You’ve change because you wanted to get their attention whether it is for your own good or not.
There are really factors that will make us change but it doesn’t mean that we have to change because of those factors. I believe that we always have the option to choose for ourselves. You can never stop a drug addict to use illegal drugs not unless he chooses to stop by his own. No matter how many rehabs he take you can’t do anything about it. He has to decide for hisself whether to change or not, not unless if his insane already that his brain could no longer function to decide. For me as long as you still have the sanity you could always have the freedom.
Everything that we feel and think are all self inflicted. We feel the pain because we think about it. We change because we wanted to, we wanted to get somebody’s attention and appreciation. We feel sad because we dwell in the past or to the factors that causes it. There’s no such way that another human being could tell you what you should feel or change you. It always start from our selves if we are willing to accept the factors that we need to change or feel then we are going to change or feel it.
Note this is just an opinion.
