Laziness

I don't know but I really feel lazy today. I even refuses my friend's invitation on their fiesta. I am supposed to have my hair done but nah I'm too lazy for today.

Lazy

1. averse or disinclined to work, activity, or exertion; indolent
2. causing idleness or indolence: a hot, lazy afternoon.
3. slow-moving; sluggish: a lazy stream
4. (of a livestock brand) placed on its side instead of upright.

See, I'm even so lazy to write a blog. hehehehe
That's all for now!

Simala Scandal

Friday, September 18, 2009 - two ex-monks and a former devotee of a popular shrine in Simala, Sibonga town revealed yesterday allegations of corruption and sex, saying these have tainted the pilgrimage site for years.  The said allegation was aired on radios and televisions, and it was unanswered by shrine’s officials.

It is said that the former monk, Venancio Cabillon, who was expelled from the congregation for leaving without notice.  He allegedly told reporters about the deviant acts of the monks such as – corruption, sodomy and Miss Gay Pageant.  He said that the pageant was held inside the shrine where he won second prize.  Moreover, Cabillon a self-professed homosexual, revealed that he had experienced having sex with his fellow monk inside the shrine.  He added that before he left the congregation a security guard confessed to him that he was sexually harassed by some of the monks.

Dodong, a novice monk, said that he spent his time counting loose change that was donated by the devotees. He added that he himself was not spared from homosexual deeds. He alleged that one of the senior monks had him sit on the other’s lap.

Cabillon denied that he was expelled from the congregation but he formally resigned with the permission of Fr. Fray Martin and Archbishop. Ricardo Cardinal Vidal.  He pointed that the report that was published in “Ang Bag-ong Lungsoranon,” an Archdiocese’s publication was a lie.

Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal urged the concerned parties to file a complaint with his office, so the alleged corruption and sex in the Simala shrine can be investigated.  During the anniversary of the Bag-ong Lungsuranon yesterday, Cardinal Vidal told reporters that he will not act on the charges unless Cabillon files a proper complaint in his office.  In an interview, shrine workers Pastora Superable and John Louis Savellon told Sun.Star Cebu their allegations against Cabillon. They accused him of, among others, collecting donations without authorization.

Cardinal Vidal said that he does not allow any pageant inside any holy place. He laughed when he heard that Frater Martin supposedly asked for his permission to hold the pageant.
“That’s the problem; they say something without asking me. I hope that he was just name-dropping, because they have not come to me (for permission),” said Cardinal Vidal.
Vidal added he also doesn’t allow any member of any religious congregation to secure or carry firearms.
“Who in his right sense would do that? It’s not proper,” said the archbishop.
He also defended the monks against reports they have been conducting money-making schemes inside the shrine, and said that some of the wares being sold were on consignment.

This issue is not new to us.  It happened years ago already, as you can remember Jose Rizal wrote about this already in his novels.  It’s just simply a repeat of history.  It’s up to the people which side they should believe in.  Let us not make this issue over rated.  There are a lot of issues that are more important to deal with.  For Cabillon, for more than 17 years of being a monk, why did he reveal it now?  Is it really because he was humiliated?  Or there’s another reason for this.  If he had experienced the deviant deeds before, why didn’t he come out in the open right away?  He waited for 17 years to reveal it, what’s his purpose?  As what I observed both camps are trying to outdo each other in an attempt to squeal.  Like other issues, this will just die to its natural death.

Java | Deleting in any position using Arrays

Hi! This would be my first ever blog tutorial. Or should I say sharing my learnings from school. The lesson for today is how to delete array elements to any position using Java. I encounter this problem during my second year of being an IT student. I tried to search on the internet for the possible answers, but I was unfortunate enough. I then tried to answer it on my own and I'm going to share it so that I can help other students like me. I know how hard Data Struct is, so here we go.
This is the code:

Hope this sample code would help you. Please leave a comment or if you may have a question.

Careful - An excerpt

WASHINGTON (AFP) - – Nearly half of US employers research the online profiles of job candidates on social networks such as Facebook, MySpace or LinkedIn, according to a new survey. Forty-five percent of the employers surveyed for CareerBuilder.com, the largest US online job site, said they use social networking sites to check on job candidates, up from just 22 percent in a survey conducted last year. Another 11 percent said they plan to start using social networking sites for screening. "As social networking grows increasingly pervasive, more employers are utilizing these sites to screen potential employees," CareerBuilder said in a statement. It said job seekers should "be mindful of the information they post online." CareerBuilder said that of those who conduct online searches as background checks on job candidates, 29 percent use Facebook, 26 percent use LinkedIn and 21 percent use MySpace. Eleven percent search blogs while seven percent follow candidates on micro-blogging service Twitter. Thirty-five percent of those surveyed said they have found content on a social network that caused them not to hire a candidate, CareerBuilder said. Examples included "provocative or inappropriate photographs or information" or content about drinking or using drugs. Other reasons cited were badmouthing a previous employer, co-workers or clients, poor communication skills, making discriminatory comments, lying about qualifications or sharing confidential information from a previous employer. Information found on social networking profiles was not always a negative factor in finding a job. Eighteen percent of employers said they have found content on social networking sites that caused them to hire the candidate, CareerBuilder said. Some profiles "provided a good feel for the candidates personality" or supported their professional qualifications while others demonstrated creativity or solid communication skills. Rosemary Haefner, vice president of human resources at CareerBuilder, recommended that candidates "clean up digital dirt" before beginning a job search by removing photos, content and links which could hurt their chances. The survey of 2,667 hiring managers and human resource professionals was conducted by Harris Interactive between May 22 and June 10. It has a sampling error of plus or minus 1.9 percentage points.

Supersonic Jets

I just bumped into this article about breaking the sound barrier by Yahoo News. I was actually amazed with the picture that's why I decided to read the article. Just wanna share it with you.
Enjoy reading! And be Amazed with the latest techonology!
Robert Roy Britt Editorial Director LiveScience.com Tue Jun 30, 9:35 am ET

The breaking of the sound barrier is not just an audible phenomenon. As a new picture from the U.S. military shows, Mach 1 can be quite visual.

This widely circulated new photo shows a Air Force F-22 Raptoraircraft participating in an exercise in the Gulf of Alaska June 22, 2009 as it executes a supersonic flyby over the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis.

The visual phenomenon, which sometimes but not always accompanies the breaking of the sound barrier, has also been seen with nuclear blasts and just after space shuttles launches, too. A vapor cone was photographed as the Apollo 11 moon-landing missionrocketed skyward in 1969.

The phenomenon is not well studied. Scientists refer to it as a vapor cone, shock collar, or shock egg, and it's thought to be created by what's called a Prandtl-Glauert singularity.

Here's what scientists think happens:

A layer of water droplets gets trapped between two high-pressure surfaces of air. In humid conditions, condensation can gather in the trough between two crests of the sound waves produced by the jet. This effect does not necessarily coincide with the breaking of the sound barrier, although it can. To learn more, click here.

The aircraft carrier was participating in Northern Edge 2009, an exercise focused on detecting and tracking things at sea, in the air and on land.

If you were anything but a human being... (a response)

I've always wanted to be important to everybody. So, if given a chance to be in another form -- I would like to be an oil.
Where people can't live without me. Industries, organizations, households etc., can't operate without me. As I diminish in measure, my value would increase. People would always talk about me, my importance, my presence, and they would kill each other over me.
That's how I wanna be.

Wolverine

1. Wolverine wasn't in the original line-up of Marvel Comics' "X-Men" that was created by Stan Lee in the 1960s. He first appeared as an adversary to The Incredible Hulk, and was brought into the X-Men when the series was restarted in 1975.
2. Co-creator Len Wein's original idea was that the character was actually a wolverine cub that was mutated into human form. He also intended for Wolverine's signature claws to extend from his gloves, not from his body. But these ideas were dropped when new writer Chris Claremont took over the series.
3. Wolverine was originally a supporting character, with the focus of the X-Men stories mostly on team leader Cyclops. But he quickly became a fan favorite, and he got his own solo series in the '80s. Last year, Wizard Magazine ranked him at #1 in their "Top 200 Comic Book Characters of All Time" list.
4.Logan's backstory was mostly kept hidden for the first 25 years of his existence. Finally in 2001, Marvel released the six-issue series "Origin" which told Logan's life story. Born in Canada in the 1800s, James Howlett discovered his mutant powers (and claws of bone that pop out of his hands) after a family tragedy. This story is the jumping off point for the new movie.
5. Russell Crowe was director Bryan Singer's first choice to play Wolverine in the first "X-Men" movie, but his asking price was too high. Scottish actor Dougray Scott was then cast, but he dropped out when filming went long on "Mission: Impossible 2." Hugh Jackman stepped into the role two weeks into filming, and at 6'2", he stands about a foot taller than how Wolverine is depicted in the comics.
6. Around 700 pairs of Wolverine claws were constructed for the original X-Men movie. They were made of metal for close-ups, plastic for longer shots, and rubber for stunts. Each pair were specially fitted for Jackman or the stuntman who wore them. The special effects crew also made a replica of Jackman's arm so that the claws could physically pop out without digital effects.
7. "X-Men: The Last Stand" was the final movie with the original lineup of characters, but more X-movies are in the works. "Wolverine" is intended to launch not only a series of solo movies for Jackman, but also the "Origins" franchise. Currently in the works is "Magneto," exploring the backstory of the villain. Also, "Gossip Girl" creator Josh Schwartz is writing "X-Men: First Class," about the teenage students of Professor X's school.
8. "Wolverine" introduces some new mutants that will be played by some fresh faces. One is long-time fan favorite, Gambit, a mutant who can energize objects into explosive weapons. He'll be played by Taylor Kitsch, star of TV's "Friday Night Lights." It's the biggest movie role yet from the Canadian hockey player-turned-actor, who previously appeared in "The Covenant" and "Snakes on a Plane."
9. The new movie will also introduce audiences to Daniel Henney, an American-born actor who has become an enormous star in South Korea. He broke out in the TV drama, "My Name Is Kim Sam-Soon," a show so popular over half the country tuned in for the series finale. In "Wolverine" he plays Agent Zero, a government operative who is part of the Weapon X program that gives Logan his metallic skeleton.
10. Some more familiar names popping up in the new movie include Liev Schreiber, who put on 40 pounds of muscle to play the menacing Sabretooth. Ryan Reynolds appears as Deadpool, a mutant mercenary who may get his own movie in the future. Dominic Monaghan plays Bolt, who manipulates energy, and will.i.am has his acting debut as the teleporting Wraith. One face you know but won't recognize is Kevin Durand, who was the evil soldier Keamy on "Lost" last season. He is unrecognizable under piles of makeup as the immovable villain, The Blob (but you'll see him in flashbacks).
"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" will kick off this year's summer movie season when it rides into theaters on May 1st.

Deceivee

We always appreciate good looks, sexy bodies, smooth feelings and nice words.  Yet, we never know what behind those superficial admiration.  We often get hurt by people who uses their wisdom and beauty and in the end hurt us.  The true question is why do we fall for them? Why do we fall for those unreal feelings?  Do we have the capability of knowing the truth behind those beautiful facade that we see on those people?
We often fall for beautiful, handsome and good looking faces.  We say that a good looking human being can never do harm to other human being.  We always connote beautiful faces with a good and kind heart.  We even curse those unfortunate enough to have the so called ugly faces.  We always denote them as monsters yet they are as good as angels.  Why do we only see the physical aspect of human being or even to a non living.
Not just the eyes that has a problem.  Even the ears could be fooled.  We always listen to charming angelic voices.  We think that a person has an appealing looks when we hear their voices, yet the truth is they're not.  Why do we have these senses that can be fooled by reality?
We cry cause we're hurt, fooled and deceived.  We never thought that it is also our own mistake.  We let deceptions come in our way.  Believed for those promises that were never granted.   Fooled by those broken vows.  Blinded for those gorgeous looking bodies and faces.  Hope for those looping lies.  Suffer in our own insanity for those betrayals.
But we always have an option, whether be a deceiver or a deceivee.  In this world we really have to play harder!
Note: I know there's no such word as deceiver or deceivee.

Ironic

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
Isn't it ironic ... don't you think
It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought ... it figures
It's a traffic jam when you're already late
It's a no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
                                                            -IRONIC -- Alanis Morissett-
Just Like the song I started my year very Ironic.  I tried to fix all my short comings in my life -- studies, work and family.  I almost drop all my subjects since I was absent for almost a month and has lost my hope in passing it.  It was my classmates and friends who encourage me to pursue it.  So, I decided to continue my studies.  I planned that after my shift I will go to school and ask permission to my teachers for me to come in their class.   Before my shift ends, our TL(team lead) scolded us for our very low performance.  It never happened before since our team was the best performer ever!  He pointed that major problem of our team is our absenteeism and I was one the best agent for absenteeism.  He mentioned that if ever we're bored with our work (that's always my complaint) and tired, we should quit!  It strikes me to the boooonnneess talaga! TAGUS!
Well, I have to make it right!  So, I studied all the lessons that I missed in class (study to the max).  Memorize all the answer keys  so that I could pass for the prelim exam.  I went to my classmate's house to ask some notes.  We went to school together and I really felt that its day first day of class.  I was nervous and everything, just like a freshman going to his first day of class in college(feeler?).  Anyways I was able to study all the things I need and I was confident that I could answer all the questions.
And what can I say, I've wasted all my efforts.  No teachers were around, all I did was sit and chat with my classmates.  In short NO CLASS at all.  Its kinda sad that I've wasted my efforts of coming to school and studying for the exam.  One of my classmates said that why is it if I'm around there's no class and she even thank me for that. Haizt!  Isn't it ironic or what?  I didn't lose hope since my class will end at 7:00 o'clock.  So, I thought my programming teacher would come.  I've waited untill 6 pm but it was a bad idea!  NO CLASS. =(
I went home and took my rest.  I just said to myself that there's always a so called next time.  Then, I went to sleep and I really believe that was another bad idea.  I woke around 1 am and my shift starts at 9 pm.  Another AWOL!  My TL just pointed that no one should be absent anymore even a half day AWOL and I just did!  I went to work, embarrased.  My teamates look at me as if I am the most sinfull man on earth.  =(
Now, I'm still trying to change but I hope that it would not be so ironic this time.  As what the song said "Life has a funny way of sneaking up on youLife has a funny, funny way of helping you out, Helping you out "  I believe that there's something good for me to come.

Sea [s/eh/y/ah] 'n dada

“Babies has the ability to ease your pain and hardship during work hours.  When you see them smile it’s like you’ve been touch by an angel.”
                                                                                       -MaLdito-

I really hate babies and kids before.  I used to hide myself from them.  I get irritated whenever I see one.  Come’n kids and babies are very annoying all they do is cry and ask for an attention.  I really hate those scenarios.  I didn’t even think that I would be a father, I don’t wanna be a father!

Now, things has change.  I don’t know what has got into me why I suddenly like babies. God, maybe because I’m 21 years old ang growing older? Hey I wanna see little faces of me hehehe.  Not to mention whos going to be my wife.  Will I have a wife?  Only time would tell, since I’ve been a victim of love for so many times. emo? (emoral)

Last Friday I visited my long lost friend, I think it been 6 months already, in her house.  Although I know that she has a baby already, named Seane Gwyneth, but I never though that I would be very happy to see her.  It’s kinda lukso ng dugo thing? haha bisag dili jud related hehehe.  Well Em2x my friend use to tell me that I would be the dada of her baby, I never mind at all besides its just a name.
What could I say? The first time I saw sea’s [s/eh/y/ah] face wow! wow lng hehe.  I just wish that were blood or paper related hahaha.  Well at least her mom is my friend so I could pretend to be his dada hehehe.  I just promised to myself that I’ll take good care of my baby sea. haizt.

Self Inflection

“Tell me how you could not think of something that changed every bit of you?”

This was once said by my friend when I told him to stop thinking of the person who hurt him.  Sounds dramatic but for me its funny.  Can a man really change another man?  Or it is just a self inflection?  Do we an option?

These questions run into my head after he said that.  Personally, I don’t believe that as a human being you can changed another human being.  For example in a boy girl relation or what so ever, they always say that, that guy or gal changed me. Did the persion really change you? Or you’ve change because you wanted to? You’ve change because you wanted to get their attention whether it is for your own good or not.

There are really factors that will make us change but it doesn’t mean that we have to change because of those factors.  I believe that we always have the option to choose for ourselves.  You can never stop a drug addict to use illegal drugs not unless he chooses to stop by his own.  No matter how many rehabs he take you can’t do anything about it.  He has to decide for hisself whether to change or not, not unless if his insane already that his brain could no longer function to decide.  For me as long as you still have the sanity you could always have the freedom.

Everything that we feel and think are all self inflicted.  We feel the pain because we think about it.  We change because we wanted to, we wanted to get somebody’s attention and appreciation.  We feel sad because we dwell in the past or to the factors that causes it.  There’s no such way that another human being could tell you what you should feel or change you.  It always start from our selves if we are willing to accept the factors that we need to change or feel then we are going to change or feel it.

Note this is just an opinion.
